History of Sex Worker Resistance in Montréal

MEM - Centre des mémoires montréalaises

Sex workers have a formal and informal history of resistance that dates back several centuries. The stories and traces of resistance left by past sex workers shed light on and inspire the actions of sex workers today. As part of the exhibition By and For: 30 Years of Sex Worker Resistance, this panel invites historians, academics and community organizers to discuss the history of sex worker resistance in Montréal since the early 20th century.

First come, first seated.
This event is bilingual. We will invite guests and participants to speak in their own language.
