L’atelier de poésie de Fernande Saint-Martin et Guido Molinari

This evolving exhibition, based on the Foundation’s permanent collections, will be presented in the three exhibition rooms on the 1st floor of our premises. This project is intended to showcase works and archives from our collections relating to poetry, as practiced by both Guido Molinari (1933-2004) and Fernande Saint-Martin (1927-2019). Conceived around the notion of a “workshop of thought”, the exhibition will feature objects, works, poems, sketches and publications belonging to both artists. At the heart of this project lies a meeting, that of Guido and Fernande in 1953, at the Place des artistes exhibition. From this historic event, we will trace the documentary rhizome of their respective contributions to the field of Quebec poetry. The exhibition process will be marked by reflective, consultative and performative mediation activities.
