Temporary exhibition

Black Holes: Unknown Horizons

from May 5, 2025 to May 3, 2026
Planétarium - Espace pour la vie

Black holes are probably the most extraordinary objects in the cosmos: they can arise from violent explosions of very massive stars, they distort space-time around them, they devour stars and they generate gravitational waves detectable on Earth.

We believe that black holes exist in a variety of sizes, from tiny, rapidly evaporating monsters to millions of solar masses at the center of galaxies.

Black holes remain at the limit of our knowledge. Unlocking their mysteries is one of the most exciting challenges in human history. A challenge that will call on all our abilities as a species, and help us in our mission to understand the past, present and future of this exciting place we call the cosmos.
