Galerie de l'UQAM is a university gallery dedicated to contemporary art. The institution produces and disseminates exhibitions, public activities and publications about contemporary art from Québec, Canada and abroad. These cover the work of professional artists, while paying attention to the work of university students in visual and media arts, art history and museology. Galerie de l’UQAM also has a mandate to conserve, manage and disseminate the Collection d’œuvres d’art de l’Université du Québec à Montréal.

Virtual exhibition: Françoise Sullivan. An Imaginary Line
This virtual exhibition looks at the works executed by Françoise Sullivan during the 1970s, when she had discovered new art trends like conceptual art and arte povera. At that time, her work was rooted in photography, film, text and performative actions. An “imaginary line” is traced on a horizon that merges art, family, time and the world.
