Triennale recherche-création de l'Université de Montréal
What forms can research-creation take at the Université de Montréal? What sets it apart? This exhibition is part of the constellation of events that make up the first edition of the Triennale recherche-création de l’Université de Montréal, which unfolds until June 14, 2025, across the Mountain Campus and the MIL Campus through a series of events and exhibitions. The Triennale is a collaboration between the Galerie and the Vice-rectorat à la recherche, à la découverte, à la création et à l’innovation de l’Université de Montréal.
The exhibition presented at the Galerie offers an opportunity to explore this vibrant field. Highlighting collaboration, the projects showcased emphasize how research-creation fosters dialogues on societal challenges. They address issues related to political resistance, migration, urban sustainability, diasporic identity, and intimacy. To do so, they engage with diverse practices, ranging from installation and performance to literary creation, photography, algorithmic art, experimental documentary video, and more.
