In shapes! Geometry and abstraction in our collections
from Apr 17, 2025 to Jul 26, 2026
Cinémathèque québécoise
This eclectic exhibition is an invitation to discover objects from the collections of the Cinémathèque québécoise that stand out for their aesthetic qualities, as well as their uniqueness.
Gathered for the first time, these objects bear witness to an idea in development, a creative process, a fragment of a work or a technological feat. For your viewing pleasure, you’ll discover not only beautiful objects in vibrant shapes and colours, but also the creations of renowned artists and key figures in Quebec animation, such as Norman McLaren, René Jodoin, Jacques Giraldeau and Arthur Lipsett.
