Jean de Nivelle and Cadet Roussel: ancient music concert
As part of the Journées de la culture, Les Boréades de Montréal offer a unique concert in the Museum's historic buildings. Playing the most beautiful popular songs of the 16th century, the concert will focus on the variations experienced in New France.
The three musicians will perform these historic pieces accompanied by the instruments of the time, flutes and viola da gamba. The artists will explain the origins and variations of the songs, while the instruments will also be presented. A question period will follow the performance.
Musicians: Femke Bergsma (voice and flute), Francis Colpron (voice and flute) and Marie-Laurence Primeau (viola da gamba and flute).
Also as part of the Journées de la culture, the Musée site will host the duo Annetta et Gustave. The borough of Lachine presents two circus performances at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
