In the very heart of the former Pied-du-Courant prison – where more than 1300 Patriotes were imprisoned and, in somecases executed – you can explore the history of the Rebellion of 1837-1838. This exhibition presents the issues related to the Patriot movement of Lower Canada: the political, economic and identity Patriots claims, decisions made by Canadian Patriots and the impact of these various events on the Canadian and Quebec politics of today.
