THE GUILD: 60 YEARS OF EDUCATION AND CULTURAL DIVERSITY Collection 1900-1967 - Artworks and art objects

This exhibition reflects the evolution of the Guild’s collection, to which artifacts donated by two institutions were added, in 2016 — the Sisters of Saint Anne Historic Centre in Lachine, Quebec, and the Museum of Inuit Art in Toronto — following their closure. The decision to present these objects by theme, while adopting a transversal approach, in line with the founders of the Guild’s initial vision (Alice Peck [1855-1943] and May Phillips [1856-1937]), gives us a chance to explore the diversity of our collection.
