Mémoire de village
From November 15 2018 to January 13 2019
The painter Thérèse Sauvageau celebrated country lifestyle. After her teacher career, she illustrated, through her paintings, daily life in her rural village, Grondines, in the turn of the last century. She consciously wanted to represent the ways of life and shared values : a job well done, a respect for the family, the elders and religion but also community life and mutual support.
